Asbestos
As duty holders, property owners and landlords of non-domestic buildings there are now strict regulations on a duty to 'manage' all asbestos containing materials (ACM's). The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations (CAWR) 2002 puts a duty on Landlords, Tenants and others to 'cooperate' with the legislation.
An assessment of all known or suspected ACM's must be undertaken, correct plans drawn up, registered and a plan of how they are to be managed. This must be periodically assessed and implemented.
To achieve this we;
- Ensure surveys are carried out when required including ad-hoc surveys, arrange bulk sample analysis, draw up plans and create a location register.
- Advise duty holders of their obligations.
- Agree budgets and implementation of works or management of asbestos with duty holders.
